Duration: ca. 5' - François Dhalmann Editions

The discrete states are the representations, that is, the pre-representations with which one does mental work. In composition, these are the categories of sounds with their parameters of pitch, duration, intensity, timbre, etc. It is these mental objects that the composer – listening to his inner ear – assembles to construct a work.

In three parts linked without interruption, this work was written for the guitar ensemble of the conservatory of Saint-Michel-sur-Orge. This composition " sur mesure " aims to introduce students to instrumental techniques less used in our Western culture, and yet present in various cultures and styles. of music where the guitar (or a related instrument) is played.

This is not educational music at all : it is my real writing, but " simplifiée " in order to put it to scope of students. It is a true concert work. We find there what makes the characteristic of my writing : music made of fragments with well differentiated characters, constant energy, multitude of modes of play.
