In linguistics, dual (from the Latin duo "two") is a grammatical subcategory of number. He points out that the elements in question come in pairs presenting specific verbal or nominal forms. In the languages where it exists, the dual is opposed to the singular and the plural, and possibly to other more or less common categories of number, such as the paucal or the triel.

Formally, my work Duel is characterized by an alternation of constantly thwarted lively impulses and calmer outfits.

As for the multiple timbres, playing modes, articulations, etc. and their combinations and mixtures, the writing constantly plays on what brings together or distinguishes these two instruments in their deep nature: the harsh and the soft.
