waiting for creation
Duration: ca. 12' (6'/6'). Coming soon to Éditions Delatour
The title of these 2 works for piano alone underlines their dreamlike dimension as well as the fragility of creation and its difficulty in enduring, like a pebble thrown into water only disturbs the surface for a moment, a particularly acute observation. in this period of pandemic that we are going through.
The subtitles refer to the “liquid” ambivalence of our inner world which a poem, written during the composition, mentions.

Take the shadow head-on!
Seize the night!
Shaking emotions...
Poetically, dreams and the night are rich in contrasting images borrowed from the sea. From the dead calm to the hyper-mobility of flows, from tumultuous storms to tidal waves where everything can crash and suddenly stop - metaphor of existence in its most vivid form - in the multiple liquid states: swell, waves, waves... associated with the tumults of desire, on the course that one must not lose sight of at the risk of losing oneself -even and to the shores and shores calling for rest.
All writing is revealed “on the water”.
The formal construction of these two works reflects these ambivalences and diversity of states. On a background of resonances and silences, a large number of fleeting motifs, with very contrasting characters, if not opposite, fuse, collide, as if coming from all horizons, in a moving sound architecture, extremely fragmented on all the registers, with multiple colors/lights, true polyphony of timbre, patterns and playing modes.
